Replace any design with your own pattern.
When we design hardwood borders, all wood colors are changed to the color you like. Wenge is the black strip along the side of the border which can be changed to a lighter color.
Wenge is black and brazillian cherry has more red in the strip.
Can you see the difference between the two rose borders? Wenge is used to accent borders.
You can replace wenge with brazillian cherry wood or any wood.

Tired of your wood floor color? Stain it any wood pastel color in pink, blue, white or a dark color! You can always refinish your hardwood floors again and have the original color back if you don't like it! That's the benefit of having a thick "solid" hardwood floor. You have the option to change the color when your tired of it! You can't do that with any other floor unless you replace it!
Have fun with stain colors! They are great for a child's room and can be sanded back to normal!

Wood floor stains are fun for a child's room!
If you notice, some wood species have more grains and knots than others.
It just depends on your taste and how much variation you like in your wood floor.
Some people like knots and grains in their wood flooring and some don't.
Picking the right floor is easy. There are basic colors and shades of hardwood. There are
light wood tones like Maple, red tones like Brazillian Cherry or Mahogany and brown tones like Walnut.
Take a look at your decor and see what your main color scheme is. Is it brown, red or light (I call it "blonde")
like maple. You now have your main choice made. Look at your kitchen cabinets, furniture and adjoining
rooms to make sure they all flow together with color.
